The Thief of Bagdad (1940)
In Baghdad, young and naive Sultan Ahmad is curious about the behavior of his people. The Great Vizier Jaffar assures Ahmad to pass the disguised city into the subject to meet his people. He then takes on the power of telling residents that Ahmad died while sending his army to arrest a Sultan who was thrown into jail and sentenced to death. Ahmad becomes friends with a young thief Abu who helps him escape the prison. They flee to Basra and plan to travel overseas with Sinbad. However, Ahmad came across a beautiful princess and fell in love with each other. But the evil Jaffar also traveled to Basra to propose to marry the princess. When seen, Jaffar uses magic to blind Ahmad and turn Abu to the dog. Was their love condemned to destruction?
